3D Modeler / CG Generalist
Biography

Ruby Wang, a 3D artist, illustrator, and storyteller who specializes in 3D modeling, aims to bring life to exceptional two-dimensional concepts and designs by transferring them into three-dimensional models. Her illustrations indicate an emphasis on facial expressions, which are often paired with complementary color schemes. Most of her storytelling works tell dark fictions with a twist at the end, as she enjoys altering the audience’s perception of the plot to create an unexpected realization.

She grew up in Taipei, Taiwan, and has been attracted to anime since childhood. She soon discovered 3D animated films and then developed a passion for 3D modeling at high school.
As a Computer Animation alumni at Ringling College of Art and Design, Ruby has produced several short fully computer animated films that demonstrate weight, force, character emotion, and story. Each project involves designing, modeling, rigging, texturing, animating, lighting, and compositing all done by herself.
In her third year of college, she went to Tokyo, Japan for a summer internship at Imaginary Power Inc. During the internship, she learned to light CG scenes to match real-life backgrounds. She also gained experience with working on parts of commercials, games, and live-action movies. After graduating, she aims to enter the film industry as a 3D modeler.

In her own time, Ruby enjoys making desserts, listening to J-Pop, watching anime, and doing cosplay.
